The Pool With a Goal – Installing Water Polo Goals

Water Polo is a game in which two teams attempt to score by throwing the ball into the opposition’s goal. But without a pair of goals the game fails to draw a much of an audience and quickly begins to lack purpose. It was for this reason that Commercial and Specialised Diving was asked to install eight removable eye bolts to allow a leisure pool in Carshalton, Surrey to install two water polo goals.

Two removable eyebolts on each side of the pool were installed for each goal

The eight removable eye bolts were fixed into the pool walls, with great care taken to ensure the goals would sit level across the width of the pool. The works were completed (at night to eliminate any loss of revenue) and the pool was cleaned of any construction debris, all to the client’s satisfaction. The goals provide the centre an extra source of income and we hope the players enjoy their new playing field!

With the fixings in place, all that was left was to test out the new goals. Unfortunately, the team did not have enough time (or skill) for a game.
